A great place to send your tool donations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Reuse &amp; Salvage Stores:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/seattleburlap.com\/\">Seattle Burlap<\/a>\u00a0&#8211; They sell burlap bags, and lots of them. Great for planters and putting your garden beds to rest and a billion other things.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.seconduse.com\/\">Second Use<\/a>\u00a0&#8211; Reusable salvaged building materials and some home decor.<\/li>\n<li>Habitat Restore<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>Garden:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.villagegreenperennialnursery.com\/\">Village Green Perennial Nursery<\/a> &#8211; Located between White Center and West Seattle, has tons of natives, perennials, and other garden goods, and located on a beautiful property.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.waltsorganic.com\/\">Walt&#8217;s Organic Fertilizer<\/a> &#8211; Fertilizer company based in Ballard I think.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.seattleurbanfarmco.com\/\">Seattle Urban Farm Co.<\/a>\u00a0&#8211; They plant gardens in people&#8217;s yards and care for them, too.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>Sustainability Groups:<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Education:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/seattletilth.org\/\">Seattle Tilth<\/a> &#8211; Many gardening &amp; homesteading classes for reasonable prices.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cityfruit.org\/\">City Fruit<\/a> &#8211; Gleaning non-profit that also has tons of great fruit classes &#8211; planting, trimming, training, harvesting, storing, etc.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/KUOWWeekday\">Weekday on KUOW<\/a> &#8211; Daily morning radio show hosted by Steve Scher from 9-11am on 94.9FM &#8211; frequent episodes on gardening &amp; plants and specific to Seattle and the Northwest.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/wstoollibrary.org\/\">West Seattle Tool Library<\/a> &#8211; Free tool rentals with a membership of just $40. They&#8217;re great about telling you how to use the tools and they often have <a href=\"http:\/\/wstoollibrary.org\/calendar\/\">classes<\/a> for very affordable rates.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.gardenhotline.org\/\">Garden Help Hotline<\/a> &#8211; Got a garden question? Give them a call, it&#8217;s free to residents of King County.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Neighborhood Sustainability Groups:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sustainablewestseattle.org\/\">Sustainable West Seattle<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/sustainableballard.org\/\">Sustainable Ballard<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sustainableburien.org\/\">Sustainable Burien<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>Food:<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Restaurants, Bars, Coffee Shops:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.chacocanyoncafe.com\/\">Chaco Canyon Cafe<\/a> &#8211; University District &amp; West Seattle &#8211; Pricier than your average lunch cafe, but it&#8217;s almost all organic and veggie\/vegan food, and excellent quality.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/sushiwhore.com\/\">Mashiko Restaurant<\/a>\u00a0(aka Sushi Whore) &#8211; West Seattle &#8211; Seattle&#8217;s first fully sustainable sushi restaurant.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bigalbrewing.com\/\">Big Al Brewing<\/a> &#8211; White Center &#8211; These guys installed the first solar-heated water array at a brewery during 2011, and they&#8217;re close to the homestead, and they brew up excellent beer every time.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.elliottbaybrewing.com\/\">Elliot Bay Brewing<\/a> &#8211; West Seatte &amp; Burien &#8211; Organic ingredients and locally made beer. Both locations serve food.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Grocery &amp; CSA:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.magicbean.org\">Magic Bean Farm &#8211; Seattle CSA<\/a> &#8211; Farm located in West Seattle with CSA pickup locations in West Seattle, Queen Anne, and the U-District. They run through the growing season starting in approx. May or June.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pccnaturalmarkets.com\/\">West Seattle PCC<\/a> &#8211; We shop at the West Seattle PCC for our organic supplies that we don&#8217;t grow ourselves.
